Medicijnen bij gedragsproblemen

Question

Een jonge man met CdLS (14 jaar, 25 kg) heeft de dubbele diagnose CdLS en autisme. Hij is agressief tegen anderen en verwondt ook zichzelf. De behandelend arts meldt dat er weinig succes is met Buspiron, Paroxetine en Carbamazepine. Ik weet niet wat de doseringen waren en hoe lang deze medicijnen zijn toegediend. De gedragsproblemen worden alleen maar erger. Zijn er andere medicijnen die kunnen worden geprobeerd? Risperidon? Naltrexon?

Als eerste beveel ik voor CdLS Amitriptyline en Clonidine aan. Naltrexon is eigenlijk een medicijn voor de lange termijn, maar kan worden geprobeerd. Risperidon is geen slechte keuze, maar begin met een lage dosis.
