Onze dochter is vier jaar. Recent is vastgesteld dat ze een coarctatio aortae (aortavernauwing)heeft. Komt dit veel voor bij CdLS?

Answer of our experts

Coarctatio aortae is geen veelvoorkomende aangeboren hartafwijking bij CdLS. Het moet echter mogelijk zijn om de vernauwing operatief te verhelpen of een bypass te plaatsen. Dit zal niet moeilijker gaan dan bij kinderen zonder CdLS.
