Hoe vaak komt een (submuceuze)gehemeltespleet voor bij CdLS?

Een gespleten gehemelte (schisis) komt vrij veel voor bij kinderen met CdLS. Een submuceuze spleet is moeilijker vast te stellen. Er is dan sprake van een spleet in het gehemelte, maar hier zit dan weer huid over heen. De prevalentie van gespleten gehemeltes is 26%, inclusief submuceuze spleten. Ongeveer één derde van alle gespleten gehemeltes is submuceus.
