Een verminderde hersengolfamplitude op een EEG kan het gevolg zijn van medicatie, bijvoorbeeld van Tegretol. Maar dit is verder een onproblematische uitslag die redelijk veel voor komt bij mensen met ontwikkelingsstoornissen.
