Does seizure activity increase when children with CdLS enter adulthood?

Answer of our experts

No, seizures can occur at any time in CdLS and can occur for the first time in adolescence or even adulthood. They do not occur more frequently in the older age group. They occur more frequently in childhood age groups. Overall there is about a 15% incidence

An MRI of the brain should be considered only if the individual with CdLS shows neurological signs other than microcephaly (smaller than normal head).
